Ingrid Veninger
Associate Professor, Cinema and Media Arts – AMPD
Born in Bratislava and raised in Canada, Ingrid Veninger has produced fifteen feature films with premieres at TIFF, Rotterdam, Busan, Rome, Hot Docs, amongst others. From narrative shorts, If You Were Me (2022) to feature documentaries, The World or Nothing (2019), her work captures poignant human experiences with depth and authenticity. Her latest feature Crocodile Eyes (2024) offers a profound exploration of family dynamics across four generations, demonstrating her continued evolution as a storyteller garnering retrospectives at Ottawa’s Canadian Film Institute and FEMCine in Santiago, Chile. Research interests: DIY-based methodologies, collective creation, ethical leadership, hybrid cinema and new pedagogical modalities.
